   自我介紹Could you introduce yourself?

自我介紹或許是最多人覺得最難的一塊，但不外乎就是介紹自己的名字、家人、學歷和個人經驗（志工經驗、留遊學、打工或實習等等）。可以將每個部份拆成一句一句練習，最後在全部接起來。

I’m Julie Yan and I come from Taiwan. Five years ago I graduated from Maryland University. I majored in Industrial Engineering. After my graduation I worked at some technology companies.

我是Julie Yan，我來自台灣。五年前我在馬里蘭大學畢業，我主修工業工程。畢業後我在一些科技公司上班。

When I was a kid, I enjoyed taking mechanical things apart and put them back together.

當我還小時候，我很喜歡拆解機械東西，然後再組裝回去。

Major主修（名詞；動詞）有很多不同的用法，可以看以下的例子

My major is economics.

我主修經濟

I’m majoring in International Trade.

我目前主修國際貿易

I majored in Mathematics.

2. 介紹個性How would you describe your personality?

Easy-going 隨和

Responsible 負責任的

Creative 有創意的

Practical 講求實際的

Outgoing 外向

Diligent 勤奮的

I’m hard-working and outgoing.

我很認真、外向。

當每個人都說I’m hard-working時，你也可以用Creative來形容自己，並加上實際例子來彰顯你的特質。

I’m a creative person and I like to learn new things. In college, I joint an Entrepreneur contest and my friends and I designed an assistive device to help people with visual impairment.

我富有創意，並喜歡學習新事物。在大學裡，我參加一個創業家比賽，我和我朋友設計一款輔具，來幫助視力受損的人。

3. 介紹你的優點和缺點What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I am a persistent person. I don’t easily give up on goals in my life or in my career. That’s why I love climbing. Sometimes climbing takes a lot of time and physical strength to see the beauty of nature.

我是堅持到底的人。我不會放棄對人生或職涯的目標。這就是為什麼我喜歡爬山，因為爬山需要長久時間及體力付出，才能看見自然的美。

I’m indecisive. Sometimes it took me a lot of time to make a decision.

我很優柔寡斷，有時候要花很久時間決定事物

Sometimes I’m nervous about giving a speech in public.

有時候要公開演講，我會緊張

講到自己的缺點時，最好要告訴面試官你有試著解決（Solve）、改善（Improve）你的缺點，然後說明你有沒有獲得什麼樣的改變

To solve this problem, I join a toastmaster club to build this experience.

為了解決問題，我加入國際演講社團來累積經驗

4. 你喜歡團隊合作還是獨立工作Would you rather work on a team or alone?

通常遇到面試官問這個問題，很多人會回答前者。不過也可能有些面試官會認為你無法獨立完成任務。還是可以擇一回答，然後敘述Work on a team跟Work alone兩者各自的好處。

I enjoy both. I can work both on a team, and work alone.

我兩者都喜歡，我可以團隊合作，也能獨立作業。

Depending on the project that needs to be done, I can work independently to complete my tasks on time, but I also enjoy brainstorming and collaborating with my colleagues.

視需要完成的項目而定，我可以準時獨力完成任務，但我同時也喜歡與同事合作、來點腦力激盪。

5. 為何辭職上一個工作Why did you leave your last job?

這時你可以說「我喜歡新挑戰、新事物」、「發揮我的專長」、「體驗新的工作環境」，不過如果你是因為公司裁員關係，可以委婉說你不是唯一被裁員的員工。

The company was downsizing. Unfortunately, my job was one of those eliminated.

公司因為正在裁員，所以我成為其中一位被辭職的員工。

I am interested in a new challenge and an opportunity to use my financial skills and experience working in an international work environment.

因為我喜歡新挑戰，想要有機會發揮我的技術能力並體驗海外的工作環境。

如果你有特殊方面的能力（Technical skills），可以主動告訴對方，例如你有寫程式的能力、會計或行政方面的技能。

6. 為什麼我們該錄用你Why should we hire you?

面試官最想聽到的，就是和他們開的職缺條件相關且獨特的人才。所以盡量表現出你的獨特的能力、親切個性或其他特殊技能，讓他們加深對你的印象。

I believe my work experience in technology industry and my 2 years of programming could make me a good fit in this position.

我相信我在科技業的工作經驗及我的兩年程式設計能力，能讓我勝任這個職缺

I firmly believe that my experiences in this field and professional skills can make me an excellent candidate for this position.

我相信我在這個領域的經驗和專業技能，能讓我成為這份職缺的好人才。

7. 你的薪資期望What are your salary expectations?

如果你很喜歡這份工作，也認為薪資多少為其次，可以回答得比較好聽些、委婉。

If this is the right job for me, I am sure we can come to an agreement on salary.

如果我跟這份職缺很合，我相信我們可以達成協議

I’m comfortable with the range indicated

對於薪資範圍我能接受。

I understand that positions similar to this one pay in the range of $40 thousand to $50 thousand in this region. With my experience, I would like to receive something in the range of $43 thousand to $50 thousand.

我了解這個地區相關職缺薪資範圍在四萬到五萬之間，我薪資期望是四萬三到五萬之間。
